Furman Pictures will shoot a film teaser in Portland, Oregon this Saturday night, November 22, for "Calvin", a feature length film which is to be directed by Charles Gould.

"Calving" is the story of a boy whose life is changed after he faces new friends and new dangers when he runs away from home.

Charles adapted the screenplay from a short story his father had written about his own childhood.

Furman Pictures, LLC, will provide most of the equipment for the production including camera, lighting, jib, dolley, etc.

Furman Pictures finished shooting a short film November 9 in and around Camas, Washington.

The three to four minute film with the working title "Slingshot" stars actors from Portland, Oregon and surround communities.

"Slingshot" is a dark comedy about a boy who decides to take action when roughnecks start target practicing in the woods dangerously close to his home.

This is the second narrative short that Furman has produced in Camas this year. "Haunted," an experimental mystery produced by Furman Pictures, was screened at the first annual Washougal International Film Festival earlier this year where it won a Best Local Film award.
